Tristyn English Beckwith, Esq. is the founder of English Beckwith Law PLLC, where she advises creators, talent, agencies, and brands on commercial, entertainment, and business affairs matters. Over the past six years, she has built a career spanning legal counsel, business affairs, and talent representation, giving her a practical understanding of every side of the deal.
Before founding English Beckwith Law, Tristyn English Beckwith built her career across nearly every side of the entertainment industry. She owned a talent management company, served as Director of Legal & Multicultural Programs at Estate Five Media, and later worked in Business Affairs at a global creator and social agency representing Fortune 500 companies, including Amazon, Spotify, and the NFL. Together, those experiences gave her a perspective that very few bring to the negotiating table.
Having spent years managing creator agreements, she understands that an agreement is only successful if it works in practice. She has navigated campaign changes, delayed payments, usage disputes, contract terminations, and the challenges that arise when partnerships don't go as planned. The strongest agreements are the ones that continue to work long after they're signed.
Today, she brings that perspective to every negotiation. She understands not only how agreements are negotiated, but how they are carried out in practice, allowing her to anticipate challenges, negotiate practical solutions, and draft agreements that protect her clients while supporting the relationships behind every deal
Tristyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications from The University of Texas at Austin and her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in California and is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA), and the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
